190: Hey Loss Mama With Hails and Hayden Part 2

190: Hey Loss Mama With Hails and Hayden Part 2

To be continued on our conversation from the previous episode with Hails.

We have this crazy expectation of human beings - especially women - that we need to be amazing in all aspects. On how we describe ourselves to be the glass half-empty or the glass half-full.

In building the Hey Loss Mama community, Hailey’s goal is to help moms to feel their emotions. After Hayden died, there’s a realization of needing to have a friend - someone who knows her struggle and who doesn't need to explain herself. She created the community with the intent to gather 100 moms and like connect to 5 people personally. Hails have been humbled and honored to grow as a community - feeling that connection to over a thousand moms.

The realities and realizations:

  • It's scary to put yourself out there.

  • It takes so much vulnerability to talk to a stranger on the internet for comfort in joining a community

  • It works for Hails to let people grieve whenever they want to. Sometimes you need to be reminded that you are free

  • Facing the dark side and feeling your negativity since you can't find the light if not with the dark

  • You want to appreciate the moment but you're also reliving the past and you're terrified of the future

  • Hails’ words to all grieving moms: I hear you, I see you, and I validate you

Are you ready to stop cycling in the pain and anguish of grief? What if you could get a moment of calm and respite? After your child dies, everything feels hopeless and dark, and it’s hard to even think straight. Staying in survival mode keeps the cycle going.
