130: Using Your Breath to Connect With Your Body With Erin Kimbrell

Erin is an anxiety coach and breathwork facilitator who helps women heal their anxiety holistically at the root. She empowers women who are struggling with high functioning anxiety to find inner peace. She has a master’s degree in counseling and loves to teach simple tips to lower stress and anxiety, release the heavy weight of emotions, and find deep relaxation within.

Erin shares her experience with breathwork, how she was very weighed down with anxiety, even though she functioned and lived every day. She shares how when she first used breathwork, she didn’t realize that the elephant she felt on her chest could actually be gone. She got so used to feeling anxious she didn’t know she could feel any different.

She shares how breathwork can help anxiety, and how you can find the sense of safety within your body through your breath.

She also talks about the difference between shorter breath work sessions and longer breath work sessions, and how each can help support you in different ways.

I also asked her how someone who is doing breathwork can know if it’s too much for their body at the moment or not, and how listening to your body is so important when you are breathing.

I personally scheduled a session with Erin after this interview, and I scheduled it on Aria’s birthday. This was an amazing gift I gave myself, and I encourage each of you to give yourself the gift of caring for your emotions, body, and mind.
